Ranjan Banerjee

Ranjan Banerjee is Professor of Structural Dynamics at City, University of London, with expertise in aerospace structures and composite materials. His career includes positions at Indian Space Research Organisation (1971-1975), Cardiff University (1979-1985), and City University London since 1985.

His research focuses on vibration analysis, aeroelasticity, and structural dynamics, developing computational methods like the dynamic stiffness method for aerospace applications. He created specialized tools including CALFUN for flutter analysis and BUNVIS for spacecraft vibration prediction.

He teaches courses on Strength of Materials, Aircraft Structures, Composite Materials, and Structural Dynamics. Professional affiliations include Fellowship in the Royal Aeronautical Society and American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics.
