Rani Neutill

Rani Neutill is a Lecturer in the Department of English at Tufts University, within the School of Arts and Sciences. She also teaches creative writing and Asian American literature at Emerson College and memoir classes at GrubStreet in Boston. Her research and teaching focus on ethnic American and postcolonial literature, creative writing, and contemporary cultural phenomena like the K-pop group BTS.

Education:

• PhD in English, University of California, Berkeley
• MA in English, Boston College

Research interests include interdisciplinary studies of identity, migration, and popular culture. She has contributed to prominent outlets such as The New York Times Book Review, ELLE.com, and CNN, analyzing literary and cultural trends. Her forthcoming co-edited anthology on BTS, to be published by Duke University Press, explores the global impact of K-pop.

Teaching and advising span multiple institutions, including Harvard, Yale, and Johns Hopkins University. She actively engages in creative writing workshops and academic writing programs.
