Randolph Arroo

Randolph Arroo is Professor and Head of Research at Leicester School of Pharmacy, De Montfort University. His research focuses on phytochemistry, natural products, and drug development particularly for cancer and malaria treatment.

He leads the Chemistry for Health research group and has developed high-artemisinin-yielding Artemisia annua cultivars now commercially grown in Madagascar. Research examines anticancer properties of plant compounds including flavonoids and resveratrol analogues.

Recent Publications: Focus on chemopreventive compounds, natural α-glucosidase inhibitors, and novel antitrypanosomal agents. His work appears in journals including Phytotherapy Research and Phytochemical Analysis where he serves on editorial boards.
