Randi Warne is a Professor in the Department of Religious Studies at Mount Saint Vincent University. She holds a PhD from the University of Toronto and specializes in interdisciplinary studies at the intersection of gender theory, religious studies, and cultural history. Her research examines the material and ideological foundations of knowledge production, focusing on gender, religion, and social reform movements in North America.
Warne’s teaching spans core courses in Cultural Studies (CULS 1101, CULS 2201, CULS 3305) and Religious Studies (RELS 2201, RELS 3306, RELS 3380). She explores topics such as religion and popular culture, gender in religious contexts, and 'evil' in cultural narratives. Currently, she supervises two graduate theses addressing feminist performance art and the sociocultural construction of madness in women’s life stages.
Her publications include critical responses to academic theory, historical analyses of North American cultural movements, and edited volumes on religious studies methodologies.
