Randi Silver

Randi Silver is an Associate Dean at the Weill Cornell Medicine Graduate School of Medical Sciences, where her research focuses on receptor-mediated regulation of plasma membrane transporters. Her work spans three interconnected areas: ionic homeostasis in hypovolemia, histamine H3-receptor modulation of cardiac sympathetic nerve endings, and ischemia-induced angiotensin synthesis in the heart. She is affiliated with the Physiology, Biophysics & Systems Biology and Clinical & Translational Investigation programs.

• Research Focus: Mechanisms of K+ sparing in renal physiology, neurotransmitter release modulation, and local renin-angiotensin systems in cardiac ischemia.
• Current Areas of Focus: Systems Physiology, Cellular Signaling and Regulation, Membranes and Membrane Proteins.
