Randi Goettl serves as a Teaching Assistant Professor in the Social Work Department at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire's College of Health and Human Sciences, where she combines clinical practice with academic instruction as a licensed Advanced Practice Social Worker (APSW).
Her educational credentials include a Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Alabama and a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
Professor Goettl's research centers on mental health intervention strategies, substance use recovery frameworks, neurodivergent-inclusive practices, disability accessibility systems, and community development models. She actively investigates burnout and resilience dynamics among human service professionals, including international fieldwork in South Africa, with emphasis on creating trauma-informed educational environments and innovative treatment approaches for co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.

Professor Goettl advises multiple academic programs including the Pre-Admission Social Work Program, Gerontology Certificate, Navigating Health Systems Certificate, and Mental Health Well-Being Certificate while coordinating the South Africa internship program and facilitating the Social Work Research Lab.
Her current work integrates direct clinical service, educational leadership, and advocacy to advance disability rights, mental health awareness, and equitable community development through the Blugold Launch program and international learning initiatives.
