Randall Morck is Professor of Finance at the University of Alberta's Alberta School of Business, with adjunct appointments in Economics and the School of Public Health. His research examines political economy, corporate governance, and economic development through historical and institutional lenses.
Political economy investigations analyze interactions between state institutions, market development, and corporate behavior. Corporate governance research examines ownership structures, board effectiveness, and business group dynamics. Economic development studies explore institutional transitions, poverty traps, and development strategies across diverse economies.
Publications demonstrate strong historical perspective and theoretical innovation.
