Randall Germain

Dr. Randall Germain is Professor of Political Science at Carleton University specializing in global political economy. His research examines historical and theoretical dimensions of financial governance, international monetary systems, and global capitalism transformations. Former Department Chair (2009-2012).

Research employs critical and historical approaches to analyze global financial architecture, currency internationalization, and structural power dynamics. Current work develops neo-Strangean frameworks and Polanyian critiques of market society.
