Dr. Ramón Hervás is a Full Professor and Head of the Modelling Ambient Intelligence (MAmI) Research Group at the University of Castilla-La Mancha. He holds M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Engineering from UCLM.
His research develops affective and proactive systems for healthcare and assisted living, including social robots for elderly care, gait analysis technologies, and conversational agents. The MAmI group focuses on human-centered computing solutions that bridge ubiquitous computing and neuroscience principles.
Recent work includes holistic care systems for older adults, gait assessment automation, and frameworks for rapid human-robot interaction development. He has supervised seven PhD theses and leads several national research projects including FRASE, M4S, and SHARA3.
