Ramon Pacheco Pardo

Ramon Pacheco Pardo is a Professor of International Relations at King’s College London and the KF-VUB Korea Chair at the Brussels School of Governance of Vrije Universiteit Brussel. He serves as King's Regional Envoy for East and South East Asia, shaping the university's regional strategy. His research focuses on the Korean Peninsula, East Asia, and Indo-Pacific geopolitics, with a particular emphasis on diplomatic, security, and economic relations between Europe and Asia.

His advisory roles include positions at CSIS, Elcano Royal Institute, and the Jeju Forum. He has held visiting positions at institutions such as Korea University and the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy. Pacheco Pardo is a frequent media commentator on Northeast Asian affairs and contributes regularly to outlets like the Wall Street Journal and Foreign Affairs.

His recent work explores East Asian innovation ecosystems, EU-Asia connectivity, and North Korea's foreign policy.
