Ramon Gonzalez is a Professor in the English Department at the University of Minnesota. He holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Texas State University (1995). His expertise spans contemporary American poetry, U.S. Latino literature, creative nonfiction, and editing. He has authored ten poetry collections, three nonfiction books, and two short story anthologies, many of which have garnered prestigious awards.
His publications include Faith Run (2009), Cool Auditor: Prose Poems (2009), and award-winning works like Turtle Pictures (2000) and The Underground Heart (2002). Gonzalez has edited twelve anthologies, including Sudden Fiction Latino (2010), and serves as Poetry Editor of The Bloomsbury Review since 1980.
