Rami Alsaber

Prof. Rami Alsaber is an Assistant Professor of Scientific Inquiry in the Department of Core Studies at St. John’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, St. John’s University. His research focuses on advancing science literacy, multidisciplinary education in STEM classrooms, and applying biomedical informatics to analyze healthcare and cognitive science data. Previously, he explored topics like NGS sequencing, gene expression, microbial quorum sensing, and ligand-gated ion channels. He has taught courses in Biology, Microbiology, Bioinformatics, and Biomaterials at multiple institutions including Long Island University and NYU Tandon.

His work bridges educational innovation with computational biology, emphasizing data-driven approaches in both teaching and research. Collaborative projects include developing automated medical vocabulary systems and integrating genetic data into clinical trial designs.
