Ram Babu Yadav

Dr. Ram Babu Yadav is an Assistant Professor of Physics at South Carolina State University within the Biological & Physical Sciences school. He teaches Introductory Modern Physics, Quantum Mechanics, and Calculus-based and General Physics courses, and mentors undergraduate students.

Dr. Yadav's research focuses on experimental low-energy nuclear physics, particularly the study of nuclear structure at high-spin states and neutron-rich nuclei. His work involves γ- and β-ray spectroscopy measurements using facilities like the Argonne Tandem Linac Accelerator System (ATLAS) and the Californium Rare Isotope Breeder Upgrade (CARIBU) at Argonne National Laboratory, with detection capabilities enabled by the GAMMASPHERE system.

His research has been supported by National Science Foundation (NSF) grants totaling $229,706 as Principal Investigator and $200,000 as Co-Principal Investigator. He contributes to the development of new laboratories and demonstrations at SCSU.
