About
Dr. Rajesh Govindan is a Marie Curie Research Fellow in the School of Engineering at the University of Warwick, affiliated with the Human-Structure Dynamics Research Group led by Prof. Stana Živanović. His academic journey includes a B.Eng. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Rajasthan, an M.Tech. in Thermal Engineering from Rajasthan Technical University, and a Ph.D. from IIT Roorkee. Prior roles include Assistant Engineer at Simplex Infrastructures Ltd (Jamnagar Export Refinery Project) and Assistant Professor in Aerospace Engineering at Chandigarh University.
His research focuses on human biodynamic responses to low-frequency vibrations in environments such as spaceflight, transportation, and built structures. Key areas include musculoskeletal modeling, vibration safety, and biomechanics. He leads the SENSATION project (2024–2026), funded by Horizon Europe (MSCA PF Fellowship, £187,096), exploring pedestrian evaluation of structural vibrations.
