Rajesh Bhatt is a Professor and Graduate Program Director in the Department of Linguistics at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. He holds a PhD from the University of Pennsylvania (1999). His research focuses on the syntax-semantics interface, comparative syntax of Modern Indo-Aryan languages, and Tree Adjoining Grammars. He previously taught at the University of Texas at Austin and has contributed to the NSF-funded Hindi/Urdu Treebanks project.
