Rajeev Gupta

Rajeev Gupta is an Associate Professor in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at NC State University, within the College of Engineering. His research focuses on corrosion mechanisms, high-temperature oxidation, and advanced materials development, particularly in metallic alloys and additive manufacturing. He holds a B.S. from IIT Kanpur and a Ph.D. from Monash University. His work is funded by NSF, ONR, DOD, DOE, and industries. Key research areas include corrosion-resistant coatings, material processing, and life prediction models. He leads the Corrosion and Advanced Materials Laboratory (CAML), emphasizing interdisciplinary approaches in materials science.
