Rainer Kemper

Dr. Rainer Kemper is a Managing Professor of Business Law at the Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences, affiliated with the Faculty of Management, Culture and Technology. He holds a Dr. Jur. from the University of Münster and has extensive legal experience, including roles as a legal advisor and academic lecturer across Germany and internationally. His research focuses on labor law, family law, inheritance law, and procedural law, with particular emphasis on pension equalization, cross-border legal issues, and family proceedings.

Education: Promoted to Dr. Jur. in 1993 at Westfälische Wilhelms Universität Münster; 1st State Exam in Law (1986, Hamm Higher Regional Court); Law studies at the Universities of Münster and Lausanne (1980–1986).

Research interests include procedural law, family law harmonization, pension rights post-divorce, and legal frameworks for international divorce cases under the Rom III Regulation. He has authored monographs and contributed to legal commentaries such as FamFG – ZPO – FG Kommentierte Synopse and Versorgungsausgleich in der Praxis.
