Raija Talvio is a Professor of Practice in the Department of Film at Aalto University's School of Arts, Design and Architecture. She holds a Doctoral degree in Arts and Design from Aalto University (2015) and a Master's degree from Helsinki University of Arts and Design (1987).
Her research focuses on gender dynamics in the Finnish film industry, negotiation strategies in financing, and professional roles of creatives. Key topics include women's underrepresentation in leadership roles and systemic barriers in media industries.
