Rahwa Kidane

Rahwa Kidane is a postdoctoral researcher at the Environmental Policy Group of Wageningen University and Research, focusing on Ethiopia's engagement with UNFCCC transparency arrangements and the impact of radical data transparency on domestic climate actions in India and Ethiopia. She holds a PhD in Environmental Studies from the University of Adelaide, Australia; an MSc in Agricultural Development from Copenhagen University, Denmark; and a BSc in Rural Development and Agricultural Extension from Haramaya University, Ethiopia.

Her research explores climate change impacts, vulnerability, and adaptation within smallholder-farming systems in Ethiopia. She also has non-academic experience with Good Governance Africa, a civil society organization dedicated to improving governance across Africa.
