Ragnar Nymoen is a Professor of Economics at the University of Oslo's Department of Economics, part of the Faculty of Social Sciences. He has held leadership roles, including Head of the Department (2002–2004) and Head of the Macroeconometric Research and Model Building unit (1995–1996). His academic journey includes a Ph.D. in Economics (1990), Cand. polit. (1984), and Cand. mag. in Sociology (1979), all from the University of Oslo.
