About
Raffaele Sarcina is a Graphic Creation Workshop Teacher at EINA (Centre de Disseny), part of Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, specializing in planographic, permeographic, hollow and relief printing techniques since 2017. He holds Level I and Level II Diplomas in Graphic Design from the Academy of Fine Arts of Foggia and Bari, Italy, respectively.
His artistic practice focuses on family and religious environments, presenting scenes of contradiction within dreamlike and disturbing contexts. Sarcina's work bridges traditional printmaking techniques with contemporary conceptual approaches, creating visual narratives that challenge conventional interpretations of familiar themes.
His publications and exhibitions demonstrate consistent engagement with international contemporary art circuits, particularly in Spain and Italy. The recurring themes across his work include the exploration of identity, religious symbolism, and the tension between reality and dream states, often expressed through meticulous printmaking processes.
