About
Raffaele De Rose is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Computer Engineering, Modeling, Electronics and Systems Engineering (DIMES) at the University of Calabria. His research focuses on device/circuit modeling and co-design in emerging technologies, ultralow-voltage and low-power CMOS circuit design, hardware-level security, and electrical characterization of electronic devices.
- B.S. and M.S. in Electronic Engineering (cum laude) from the University of Calabria (2007, 2009)
- Ph.D. in "Psychology of Programming and Artificial Intelligence" from the University of Calabria (2012)
His work spans hardware security, including the development of advanced PUF architectures, and energy-efficient circuit design for STT-MRAM and RRAM technologies. Recent publications highlight innovations in voltage references for energy-harvesting systems and 2D material-based security devices.
Scientific recognition includes
- Senior Member of the IEEE
- Associate Editor of the IEEE Transactions on VLSI Systems (since 2021)
He contributes to teaching in electronics and sensors, and is a key member of the Laboratorio di Nanoelettronica e Microsistemi research group, which focuses on multidisciplinary electronics research including device modeling, IC architectures, and sensor systems.
