Rafał Luchowski

Professor Rafał Luchowski is a faculty member at the Department of Biophysics, Institute of Physics, Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science at Maria Curie-Skłodowska University (UMCS). His research focuses on molecular spectroscopy and biophysics, with a particular emphasis on light-driven energy dissipation, lipid membrane organization, and antibiotic-membrane interactions.

His work spans physical chemistry, biochemistry, and molecular biology, often utilizing advanced imaging techniques like photothermal microscopy, fluorescence lifetime analysis, and Raman spectroscopy to study photosynthetic complexes, drug mechanisms, and biomolecular organization.
