Raed Sbeit

Dr. Raed Sbeit is an Associate Professor at the University of the Cumberlands (UC). He holds a Doctorate in Engineering Management and an MS in Software Engineering from Southern Methodist University (SMU). Previously, he served as Senior Manager of Business Network Transformation at Verizon, leading a 4000+ member organization through OSS/BSS transformation using SAFe, achieving a 10% throughput increase. He launched the North Texas Leadership Development Academy to train professionals in leadership and process excellence. Dr. Sbeit teaches engineering management and cybersecurity courses at multiple institutions including UNT, UTD, UC, and UMUC.

His research focuses on cybersecurity education models, SDN-based network security, BYOD risk mitigation, and the impact of telecom industry mergers. He actively contributes to STEM education through roles on the Industry Advisory Board of Robert Morris University and leadership positions on local government advisory boards.

Publications emphasize practical applications of technology in education and industry, with recent work exploring big data analytics in automotive SMEs and team project models for cybersecurity training. His work bridges academic research with corporate learning initiatives, emphasizing real-world relevance.
