Rachel Wolpert

Rachel Wolpert is an Associate Professor and Associate Chair for Research in Occupational Therapy at the University of Missouri's College of Health Sciences. She leads the VR-Augmented Rehab Lab and is affiliated with the Occupational Therapy PhD program in Health and Rehabilitation Science.

Her research focuses on enhancing health and well-being for adults and older adults through smart home-based technology, particularly in post-stroke and post-traumatic brain injury rehabilitation. She employs virtual reality (VR) and sensor systems to improve rehabilitation outcomes.

Rachel serves as Associate Editor for OTJR: Occupational Therapy Journal of Research, Secretary of the American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine Board of Governors, and member of the American Occupational Therapy Foundation Board. Her lab, the VR-Augmented Rehab Lab, develops innovative rehabilitation technologies.
