Rachel Wakelin

Rachel Wakelin is a Medical Educator affiliated with the Department of Public Health and Primary Care at the University of Cambridge. She joined the Primary Care Unit (PCU) in 2019 and serves as an Assistant Director of Studies in General Practice within the General Practice Education Group. Rachel graduated from the University of Southampton Medical School in 2007 and completed her Foundation Training in the Wessex Deanery. She relocated to the East of England as an Academic Clinical Fellow and earned an MSc in Health Research from the University of East Anglia while undergoing training on the Cambridge General Practitioner Vocational Training Scheme. Her current work integrates General Practice with medical education, supported by her Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education.
