Dr. Rachel Pemberton Powell is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC), affiliated with the College of Medicine. She joined MUSC in 2019 and specializes in comprehensive obstetrics and gynecologic services with a focus on contraception, vaginal birth after cesarean, and minimally invasive surgery. She received her BS in Microbiology from Clemson University (magna cum laude) and her MD from MUSC. Her residency training at Virginia Commonwealth University included serving as Administrative Chief Resident, where she earned the AAGL award for surgical excellence.
