Rachel Pang is an Associate Professor of Religious Studies at Davidson College, with a cross-appointment in Chinese Studies. She specializes in East Asian religions, particularly Tibetan Buddhism, and explores themes such as Buddhist life writing, song and poetry, non-sectarianism, and Buddhist nationalism. Her research focuses on the 19th-century Tibetan figure Shabkar Tsokdruk Rangdrol, with a current book project titled Singer of the Land of Snows.
