Rachel O'Brien

Rachel O'Brien is a Senior Lecturer in Occupational Therapy at Sheffield Hallam University's College of Health, Wellbeing and Life Sciences. She leads Master's-level research modules and dissertation supervision for both pre-registration and postgraduate Occupational Therapy programs.

Her research examines:

• Musculoskeletal disorder management
• Work rehabilitation interventions
• Vocational training efficacy

Recent publications focus on rheumatology occupational therapy upskilling, workplace barrier assessment in rheumatic conditions, and psychometric validation of work adaptation instruments. She co-developed EULAR's online musculoskeletal course for allied health professionals.
