Rachel Jones is a Lecturer in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Stevens Institute of Technology's Charles V. Schaefer, Jr. School of Engineering and Science. She holds a PhD (2022) in Biomedical Engineering from The University of Texas at Dallas and a BS (2017) in Biomedical Engineering from Wichita State University.
Her research focuses on biomechanics, including musculoskeletal modeling, ergonomics, and rehabilitation. Notable projects involve analyzing firefighter kinematics with SCBA weights, predicting sit-to-stand motions with exoskeletons, and studying balance strategies in elderly populations.
Previously, Dr. Jones served as an Adjunct Faculty at NJIT's Newark College of Engineering (2023–2024) and conducted postdoctoral research there. She currently teaches courses like Engineering Physiology and associated labs.
