Rachel Guthrie serves as an Adjunct Professor of Environmental Law at the University of Kansas School of Law since 2023. Her practice focuses on CERCLA ("Superfund") litigation, addressing legacy contamination cases involving complex corporate transactions, bankruptcy law, and sovereign immunity. She founded the American Wolf Foundation (501(c)(3)) in 2018 to advance endangered wolf conservation.
She graduated cum laude with a J.D. from Lewis & Clark Law School (2012), specializing in Environmental and Natural Resources Law, and holds a B.A. in Biology and Environmental Studies from the University of Missouri–Kansas City (2006, cum laude). Her research interests include federal environmental statutes like RCRA, the Clean Air Act, and Clean Water Act, alongside transactional due diligence for environmental site assessments.
