Rachel Finney

Dr. Rachel Finney is a Professor of Spanish at Richard Bland College with over 20 years of teaching experience. She specializes in language education, cultural studies, and service learning. Her professional interests include medical interpretation in Guatemala through Health Talents International and promoting cross-cultural engagement through travel and community service.

Her research and teaching focus on integrating real-world applications of Spanish language, such as medical interpreting, and fostering global awareness through service learning initiatives. She has traveled extensively in Spanish-speaking countries including Mexico, Spain, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Puerto Rico, and the Dominican Republic.
