Rachel Edmonds is a Senior Lecturer in EAP and Applied Linguistics at Kingston University's Kingston School of Art, affiliated with the Department of Humanities. She has over 17 years of experience teaching and managing courses in English and English for Academic Purposes for speakers of other languages. Currently, she is the Course Director of the Pre-sessional English Courses at Kingston University.

Her research focuses on creative academic genres, corpus analysis, and multimodal analysis, particularly in the context of postgraduate design assessments. She is also interested in course and assessment design and the development of online learning resources. Rachel is pursuing her PhD at Birmingham University, with a thesis titled Assessing Design: A Multimodal Corpus Analysis of Student Writing, analyzing a 1 million-word corpus of postgraduate design assessments.
