Rachel Alina

Rachel Alina is an Assistant Professor in the Music Production and Engineering (MP&E) department at Berklee College of Music, where she teaches and mentors the next generation of audio professionals. She splits her time between her mix studio in Brooklyn's Dumbo neighborhood and weekly teaching in Boston, and is also affiliated with Berklee Online, where she authors and instructs courses such as The Art of Mixing.

Her research and creative interests lie at the intersection of analog and digital music production, with a strong emphasis on mentorship and community building in the field of audio engineering. She deeply values guiding young professionals and setting an example as a woman in a technically dominated industry.

Rachel Alina is an award-winning mixing engineer whose work has been streamed over one billion times. She has collaborated with iconic artists such as P!nk, Katy Perry, Stephen Marley, Gabriel Garzón-Montano, Busta Rhymes, Wyclef Jean, and Black Thought. Her career began under the mentorship of legendary engineers Shelly Yakus, Greg Wells, and Henry Hirsch, which laid the foundation for her success as a freelance mixing and mastering engineer.
