Rachel Aamold is an Instructor in the College of Nursing at South Dakota State University (Sioux Falls campus). She holds an M.S.N. in Nursing Education and a B.S.N., both from SDSU. Certified as a Nurse Educator (CNE) and a PeriOperative Nurse Emeritus (CNOR(E)), her academic responsibilities include teaching core nursing courses such as Patient-Centered Care Concepts, Clinical Applications, and Evidence-Based Practice. She also serves on the Admission, Progression, and Graduation committee and the BSN Subcommittee.
Professional memberships include Sigma Theta Tau, South Dakota Nurse Association, American Nurses Association, and National League for Nursing. Prior to her current role, she held leadership positions in operative services at Avera St Mary's Hospital and worked as a registered nurse in perioperative and clinical settings. Her work experience spans over two decades in nursing education, clinical practice, and healthcare administration.
