Roberto Bande Ramudo is a Professor at the University of Santiago de Compostela (USC), serving in the Department of Fundamentals of Economic Analysis within the Faculty of Administration and Business Management on the Lugo campus. He currently holds the position of Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration and Management. His affiliations include the Institute of Studies and Development of Galicia (IDEGA) and the GAME Economic Analysis and Modeling Group.
He earned a Degree in Economic and Business Sciences from USC, followed by a Master's in Economics (M.Sc.) from Birkbeck College, University of London. He completed his Doctorate in Economics at USC, receiving the Extraordinary Doctoral Award for his thesis on lagged adjustment processes in Spanish unemployment rates compared with Portugal (2002).
His research focuses on labor market macroeconomics, regional unemployment disparities, and the interplay between macroeconomic uncertainty and savings. He has demonstrated a commitment to long-term research excellence, with three six-year research periods and one transfer period recognized by the CNEAI.

In advising, he has supervised 7 doctoral theses, mentoring emerging scholars in economics.
