RAMAZAN SOLMAZ

Prof. Dr. Ramazan Solmaz is a Professor in the Department of Occupational Health and Safety at Bingöl University's Faculty of Health Sciences. He holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Çukurova University (2009). His academic career includes roles as Research Assistant (2002–2009), Associate Professor (2009–2017), and Professor (2017–present).

Prof. Solmaz specializes in corrosion inhibition, electrochemical systems, and hydrogen production. His research focuses on natural inhibitors (plant extracts, propolis), electrocatalytic materials (nickel, palladium, silver nanodomes), and occupational safety in laboratories and energy sectors. He has supervised over 30 theses, including studies on nanomaterials for fuel cells and corrosion protection mechanisms.

He has authored/co-authored over 100 peer-reviewed articles in journals like International Journal of Hydrogen Energy and Corrosion Science. His work emphasizes green chemistry applications and renewable energy systems, particularly in water electrolysis and methanol fuel cells. Recent projects include using Bingöl region natural products (pollen, walnut leaves) for corrosion inhibition and hydrogen production.

Prof. Solmaz actively participates in national/international conferences, addressing topics like risk analysis in hydrogen transport and safety in bee product processing. His contributions span material science, electrochemistry, and occupational health, with a focus on sustainable energy solutions.
