R. Scott Evans is a tenured Professor in the Department of Biomedical Informatics at the University of Utah, where he has worked since 1987. He earned his PhD in Medical Biophysics and Computing from the University of Utah and an MS in Parasitology/Microbiology from Brigham Young University.
Research Interests: His work focuses on adverse drug reaction reporting systems, clinical decision support systems for anti-infective management, antibiotic-resistant pathogens, hospital-acquired infection reduction, patient isolation protocols, and venous thromboembolism detection. He also explores epidemiological conditions related to anticoagulation therapy and pulmonary embolism.
