Quintanilha Alexandre is a Professor of Biophysics at the Biomedical Institute (ICBAS) of the University of Porto. He has held significant leadership roles, including Science Dean (ICBAS) from 1993-1999, Director of the Institute for Molecular and Cell Biology (IBMC), and President of the Institute of Biomedical Engineering (INEB).
