Quang Loc Lam

Quang Loc Lam is a Lecturer in the Department of Information Technology Management at the Shidler College of Business, University of Hawaii at Manoa. He is also a PhD candidate in Information Technology Management at the same institution. His academic background includes multiple master’s degrees: Economics (2021), Banking and Finance (2016), Public Policy (2014), and a bachelor’s in Economics (2011).

His research interests span Artificial Intelligence, Environmental Economics, Public Policy Analysis, and Data Science. Recent publications examine climate risk interactions with coastal property values, pandemic vaccine discourse, and cross-cultural crisis response behaviors. He actively contributes to interdisciplinary research through the University of Hawaii's NSF-funded Descartes NRT program.

Quang Loc Lam has received numerous accolades, including first prizes at the 2024 Hawaii Student Energy Pitch Competition and 2023 Medical Innovation and Design (MIND) Competition, as well as the 2015 Endeavour Postgraduate Scholarship. He directed the Kalo Grants program at the Pacific Asia Center for Entrepreneurship, allocating $21,000 in seed funding to student startups through six application rounds.
