Qiu Lin

Associate Professor Qiu Lin holds joint appointments in the School of Social Sciences and College of Computing & Data Science at Nanyang Technological University. His research integrates social psychology with computational methods to study personality expression, virtual reality interventions, and social media behavior.

Key research areas include using big data analytics to understand personality traits through digital footprints (social media posts, favorite songs), developing VR environments for mental health interventions, and modeling social dynamics through agent-based simulations. His work has been recognized with best paper awards at international conferences.

Dr. Lin serves as Associate Editor for the Journal of Computational Social Science and Asian Journal of Social Psychology. He mentors a large research team of PhD students investigating computational social science applications.
