Qing (Cindy) Chang is a Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Virginia. Her research focuses on cyber-physical systems for smart manufacturing, real-time production control, and human-robot collaboration. Prior to academia, she worked at General Motors, earning three Boss Kettering Awards for innovation. She holds an M.S. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Ph.D. in Manufacturing from the University of Michigan.
