Qilin Wang is Professor in the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering at University of Technology Sydney. His research transforms wastewater management through innovations in resource recovery and environmental monitoring.
Key focus areas include energy-positive wastewater treatment technologies, sludge valorization, and wastewater-based epidemiology. Recent work develops predictive models for COVID-19 hospitalizations using wastewater data and sustainable sludge management strategies for BRICS nations. Patented technologies maximize energy recovery while reducing membrane biofouling and pollutant discharge.
