Pyone Pyone Aye

Pyone Pyone Aye is a Professor of Medicine and Assistant Director for Collaborative Research at Tulane University, affiliated with the Tulane National Primate Research Center (TNPRC). Her research focuses on HIV/SIV vaccines, immunology, and preclinical vaccine trials. She leads the Simian Vaccine Evaluation Unit and contributes to collaborative research programs, facilitating access to nonhuman primate resources for affiliate scientists.

Education: BVS from the Institute of Veterinary Medicine and Husbandry, Yangon, Myanmar; MS from the University of Hawaii at Manoa; PhD from Ohio State University. Her work spans vaccine development, viral pathogenesis, and microbiome studies in non-human primates.
