Purvi Mehta

Purvi Mehta is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Global Development at Cornell University and Senior Advisor at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation's Global Growth and Opportunities division. She holds a Ph.D. from North Carolina State University (USA), with prior education from M.S. University (India) and Tokyo University (Japan).

Leadership roles include board memberships at the International Alliance for Ecology and Health, International Centre for Rural Agriculture, NCDEX, and World Food Prize Advisory Council. She also serves as an Honorary Professor at Amity University, India.

With over 50 publications and two books, her work bridges global agriculture challenges with policy solutions, informed by field experience in Asia and Africa through CGIAR, ILRI, and USAID engagements.
