Priya Kunjan is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at RMIT University's Centre for Urban Research, affiliated with the School of Global, Urban and Social Studies (GUSS). They lead research on housing precarity and colonialism in Melbourne through the ARC Discovery Project 'Precarious Dwelling: Encounters with housing crisis'. Their work focuses on private rental insecurity, public housing redevelopment, and intersections of racial justice and Indigenous sovereignty.
Research interests include decolonizing urban studies, housing policy, and conceptions of home/place. Recent contributions include policy submissions to Melbourne public housing inquiries and co-authoring Towards Research Justice, which advocates for Indigenous sovereignty in knowledge systems.
