Priya Donti

Priya Donti is an Assistant Professor and the Silverman (1968) Family Career Development Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) and the Laboratory for Information & Decision Systems (LIDS) at MIT. Her research bridges machine learning with high-renewables power grid forecasting, optimization, and control.

• Education: BS in computer science and mathematics from Harvey Mudd College; PhD in computer science and public policy from Carnegie Mellon University.

Her work focuses on integrating physical constraints and domain knowledge into deep learning models for power systems, advancing physics-informed machine learning. She also explores computational decarbonization, generative AI sustainability, and policy-aligned optimization. Recent publications emphasize adversarial robustness, constrained optimization, and reinforcement learning in grid operations.
