Princess Imoukhuede

Princess Imoukhuede is an Assistant Professor of Bioengineering at the University of Illinois and an affiliate of the Institute for Genomic Biology, leading research in personalized cancer treatment through angiogenesis inhibition.

Her research focuses on:

• Understanding tumor microenvironment variability
• Profiling angiogenic receptors as biomarkers
• Developing computational models for drug efficacy prediction
• Optimizing anti-angiogenic treatments like Avastin

Her work identifies patient subsets who benefit most from therapies by analyzing receptor expression patterns, revealing how high-expression cells can negate drug effects. She pioneers optical approaches for cell trapping and receptor quantification to enable tailored treatments.
