Preston Spence

Preston Spence serves as Assistant Professor and Technical Director in the Department of Theatre at Virginia Commonwealth University's School of the Arts. A VCU BFA program graduate (2004), he brings professional experience from San Diego's theatre scene, having worked as a carpenter for UCSD Theatre and Dance, La Jolla Playhouse, and various performing arts companies. His production credits include Memphis, Zhivago, and The 39 Steps. He maintains active membership in I.A.T.S.E. Local 87.
