Prateek Aryal

Prateek Aryal is a graduate student in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Iowa, affiliated with the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. He is part of the Williams Group and began his studies in the 2024-2025 academic year under the guidance of Advisor Florence Williams. His research focuses on organic chemistry, with a particular emphasis on synthesizing and evaluating novel compounds for biomedical applications.

Key facilities utilized include the University of Iowa's Chemistry Department resources such as the Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) Facility and High Resolution Mass Spectrometry Facility. His work bridges chemical synthesis with pharmacological testing, exploring antibacterial and antioxidant properties of new molecular structures.
